Inward AI Terms
Effective date: October 9, 2026
1. How these AI Terms apply
These AI Terms supplement the Terms of Service between you and Inward Wellbeing PBC, a Delaware public benefit corporation operating in California. They apply when we use artificial intelligence to help prepare or deliver your service, including work performed by our team before a report or session reaches you. You do not need to interact directly with an AI system for these terms to apply.
By ordering or using a service that includes AI-assisted work, you agree to these AI Terms together with the Terms of Service. A reference here to our Services has the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
These AI Terms control a conflict about AI-assisted work only. Our Privacy Policy controls personal-information handling. The Terms of Service provide the shared liability limits and dispute process. These AI Terms do not remove an express purchase commitment, refund guarantee, or nonwaivable legal right. Our Disclosure explains the limits of guidance from people and AI.
2. How Inward uses AI
The Patterns Report uses a structured interpretation engine and AI tools to help produce a written reading. We may also use AI to organize information, prepare drafts and timing materials, summarize feedback, support coaching preparation, and transcribe or summarize a session when recording or transcription consent has been obtained.
Different services involve different amounts of human work. A service description may include a particular form of practitioner review or lineage-holder calibration. We honor that description. Human involvement does not make a result error-free, and these terms do not promise that a person reviews every AI-generated sentence.
The service you purchase determines what we deliver. Our use of AI does not by itself give you access to a chatbot, our underlying models, prompts, software, or unlimited revisions.
3. Information you provide
“Inputs” means the information or material supplied for AI-assisted work. This can include birth details, intake answers, your stated focus, documents you choose to provide, feedback, and session content recorded or transcribed with consent. “Outputs” means material produced with AI assistance, such as drafts, interpretations, summaries, and portions of readings or timing maps.
We require a birth date, birth time, and birth city for a chart or reading. We treat submitted details as accurate and do not independently verify birth records. We cannot prepare a chart or reading without a birth time. Incorrect details can affect the chart and interpretation.
If you provide another person’s birth details, we proceed on the understanding that those details were shared with you. We rely on your submission and do not independently verify how you obtained them. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle that information.
Personal context is part of the service. You may share relevant information about your career, finances, marriage, family, health, or other circumstances you want to understand. You remain responsible for what you submit and for complying with applicable law. Do not send passwords, government identification numbers, or full financial-account details. A particular use of sensitive information may require a separate consent under applicable law, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Accuracy, interpretation, and decisions
AI and people can both make mistakes. An Output may contain false statements, missing context, bias, unsuitable suggestions, or an interpretation that does not fit your circumstances. A confident tone, detailed explanation, personal relevance, or human review does not establish accuracy.
Outputs can depend on incomplete or incorrect Inputs. Interpretations of a person’s patterns, feelings, intentions, or circumstances are not independently verified facts about that person. A match with a past experience does not prove that a future timing interpretation will be correct.
Review what you receive, check important factual claims, and consider your own circumstances. Seek an appropriately qualified professional for matters requiring professional judgment. You decide what weight to give an interpretation or suggestion and whether to act, wait, or take no action. Do not rely on an Output alone for an important career, financial, relationship, health, or legal decision.
Outputs provide the general guidance described in the Disclosure. They are not a substitute for expert professional advice and do not guarantee any event or outcome. You can report an error or concern to support@inward.org; the Terms and Privacy Policy explain the applicable service and privacy-request processes.
5. Inputs, Outputs, and improvement rights
You retain your rights in Inputs you provide. Section 11 of the Terms of Service grants Inward permission to process them for service delivery, support, protection, legal obligations, and the improvement purposes described in the Privacy Policy. Those purposes include evaluating readings and improving our interpretation engine, prompts, methods, and materials.
This permission is subject to the Privacy Policy, including its limits on access, retention, publication, and provider use, and to applicable privacy rights. It does not authorize public release of private Inputs or Outputs. The Privacy Policy distinguishes our own improvement work from an AI provider’s use of information to train its models.
You may keep and use the delivered material for the personal and internal business purposes allowed by Section 11 of the Terms of Service, including permitted private sharing. Inward retains its rights in its original templates, methods, software, branding, and other underlying material. We do not promise exclusive ownership or copyright protection for every Output. AI can produce similar language or ideas for different people; that possibility does not authorize us to disclose your private information to another client.
6. Outside AI and software providers
We may send relevant Inputs, drafts, Outputs, and related technical information to providers that help us prepare, store, transcribe, analyze, or deliver the service. The Privacy Policy describes the purposes, recipients, retention, and applicable choices, including the position on provider model training.
If you independently use an outside AI service or upload your reading to one, that provider’s terms and privacy notice govern its handling of the information you supply. Consider any private information about you or another person before doing so.
Providers, software, and model behavior can change. We may change our tools while continuing to honor the service you purchased and our privacy obligations. The Terms of Service address refunds if we cannot deliver an agreed service.
7. Permitted use and fees
The use restrictions in Section 12 of the Terms of Service apply to AI-assisted work. Do not use it unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, misrepresent it as a licensed professional assessment, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems or proprietary materials. Inward-authorized tools and reviewers remain permitted under that section.
Prices, included materials and services, cancellation terms, and any refund guarantee come from your purchase terms and the Terms of Service. Our use of AI does not create an additional charge that was not disclosed and agreed to.
8. Warranties, liability, disputes, and updates
Sections 13 through 16 of the Terms of Service apply to AI-assisted work, including the warranty disclaimers, single aggregate liability cap, indemnity for covered third-party claims, and dispute-resolution process. These AI Terms do not create a second cap or separate arbitration agreement. All exceptions protecting express purchase commitments and nonwaivable rights continue to apply.
Changes follow Section 18 of the Terms of Service. Continued use after a notified change takes effect constitutes acceptance as described there, subject to any separate agreement or consent required by law.
